The company is headquartered in Salina, KS, is a proud subsidiary of the Kubota Corporation, and has over 50 years as a leading Kansas manufacturer of agricultural implements, including seeding, tillage, and landscaping equipment. Their new Construction Equipment Division produces Kubota-branded skid steers, compact track loaders and attachments. Requirements

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Focus on detail and accuracy
  • Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to stay on task with varying priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role

Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze financial information for preparing and booking journal entries.
  • Complete a variety of month-end closing tasks independently.
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts to ensure accurate and timely reporting; clear reconciling items within the following accounting period.
  • Maintain and update standard monthly reports used by management.
  • Provide support for requests from Kubota headquarters, and internal or external tax groups and audit teams.
  • Research and apply the appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions.
  • Support the CFO and Corporate Controller in providing information and analyses for various ad hoc requests.
  • Collaborate with others in the department to support the accounting for international subsidiaries.
  • Comply with data requests from government census and industry groups.
  • Prepare sales and use tax reports and submit payments.
  • Maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies and procedures.
  • Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
  • Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
