About The Position

The Staff Accountant will join a healthcare organization’s finance team in Russellville, Alabama. The role offers exposure to hospital and multi-entity financial operations, collaboration with leadership including the CFO, and opportunities to contribute to financial reporting, audits, and strategic initiatives. The position supports financial operations across clinics and home health entities and works with internal teams on business and finance initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage confidential financial data with discretion.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare or hospital accounting experience.
• Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries and maintain the General Ledger.
• Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end close.
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
• Compile and analyze financial and statistical data.
• Support financial operations across clinics and home health entities.
• Partner with internal teams to support business and finance initiatives.
• Assist with audits, cost reports, and compliance processes.
• Work with leadership on special projects and financial analysis.
