About The Position

Staff Accountants support client relationships and provide basic audit, bookkeeping, and tax preparation services. The role offers exposure to multiple areas of public accounting, allowing the employee to develop a focus in audit, bookkeeping, and/or tax work. The position is fully onsite at one of the firm's offices. Hybrid or remote work may be available to candidates with three or more years of similar experience at a CPA firm. The schedule typically follows Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with flexibility around personal and family commitments. During tax season, weeks may reach 50–60 hours to meet deadlines; during the rest of the year, workweeks are generally 30–40 hours.

Requirements

Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting.
At least 2 years of experience in public accounting or a CPA firm environment.
Ability to work fully onsite at one of the firm's offices.
Willingness to be cross-trained to support tax, audit, and bookkeeping needs.

Nice To Haves

Three or more years of similar experience at a CPA firm may qualify candidates for hybrid or remote work.

Responsibilities

Provide full-charge bookkeeping services to multiple clients using QuickBooks.
Prepare payroll, tax, and business records and reports.
Prepare corporate and individual tax returns.
Assist with analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting and auditing issues.
Be cross-trained to support clients' tax, audit, and bookkeeping needs.
