About The Position

Staff Accountants support client relationships and provide basic audit, bookkeeping, and tax preparation services. The role offers exposure to multiple areas of public accounting, including audit, bookkeeping, and tax work, with cross-training to support client needs. The position is based fully onsite at one of the firm's offices. Hybrid or remote work may be available for candidates with at least three years of similar experience at a CPA firm. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with flexibility around personal and family commitments. During tax season, workweeks may reach 50–60 hours; during the rest of the year, workweeks are typically 30–40 hours.

Requirements

Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting.
At least 2 years of experience in public accounting or a CPA firm environment.
Ability to work fully onsite at one of the firm's offices.
Willingness to be cross-trained to support tax, audit, and bookkeeping work.

Nice To Haves

At least 3 years of similar experience at a CPA firm may qualify candidates for hybrid or remote work.

Responsibilities

Provide full-charge bookkeeping services to multiple clients using QuickBooks.
Prepare payroll, tax, and business records and reports.
Prepare corporate and individual tax returns.
Assist with analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting and auditing issues.
Cross-train to support clients' tax, audit, and bookkeeping needs.
