We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our thriving team. If you're passionate about numbers, problem-solving, and collaborating with dynamic teams, this is the perfect opportunity for you. In this role, you’ll be responsible for key accounting tasks, including bank account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and ad-hoc projects. You'll work closely with both the Accounting and Finance teams, gaining exposure to a wide range of functions and contributing to the financial health of Surya.

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications is essential.
  • Keen eye for accuracy and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to research and resolve discrepancies with logical and practical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Collaboration is key.
  • Must thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and handle multiple priorities with ease.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years of related experience is preferred, though an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Experience with Sage is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Handle multiple large bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries with precision and attention to detail.
  • Prepare daily bank reports for Senior Management, analyze variances, and ensure the financial data aligns with company goals.
  • Post payments in the ERP system (MAS Sage 100) and review bank postings for AR and AP.
  • Establish and maintain confidential company files and financial records.
  • Take on diverse projects that will stretch your accounting skills and broaden your expertise.
