About The Position

The Staff Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, including revenue, fixed assets, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, and reviewing internal financial data. This is a full-time, salaried, in-office position at National Fitness Partners’ Camp Hill, Pennsylvania office. The stated starting rate is $70,000–$80,000, with an offer commensurate with experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience in a general accounting role.
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong planning and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Perform analytical reviews and investigate discrepancies in balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
Identify capital assets and account for, roll forward, and reconcile them monthly.
Prepare and present accurate, well-supported financial analyses and reports.
Prepare detailed balance sheet account reconciliations.
Prepare and post accurate journal entries in financial systems.
Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts, and manage accounts receivable collections.
Ensure financial results are fairly stated in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
Support internal and external audits.
Participate in month-end closing activities.
Provide backup support for payroll processing.
Process accounts payable invoices accurately and on time.
Communicate effectively and resolve payment issues while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
Calculate and submit taxes and licenses as needed.
