About The Position

Participate as an integral team member on accounting teams to handle daily accounting functions, seek process efficiency improvements as well as identifying methods to improve business performance, reporting, and compliance. This role involves assisting with month-end financial reports, posting journal entries, supporting auditors, and participating in various budget cycles. The accountant will also be responsible for preparing balance sheet reconciliations, understanding and documenting the Company’s control environment, and providing quality compliance and administrative support. Additionally, the role includes completing various regulatory filings, interacting and collaborating with other departments, understanding the Company’s reporting systems and processes, and using discretion and independent judgment in developing enhancements to efficiency and effectiveness. Other duties may be assigned as needed. The accountant will collaborate with accounting, finance, and operational teams across the organization and analyze financial information to prepare recommendations for review.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong emphasis on Excel
  • Strong oral and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform and make decisions under pressure and strict deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multitask and be a team player
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
