About The Position

Ascenso Tires North America is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team at our North American headquarters in Hudson, Ohio. The Staff Accountant will support essential day-to-day accounting functions, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, and month-end closing. This position will work closely with the Accounting Team, colleagues and management, as well as customers, vendors, and auditors, while continuing to build accounting knowledge and experience.

Requirements

One to three years of professional experience.
Experience with accounting terminology and procedures.
Experience working with ERP systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Very good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support Accounts Payable by assisting with vendor invoice approvals and entering approved invoices into P21 after matching them with receiving records.
Monitor open payables, investigate vendor payment issues, help ensure timely payment by check or Wire/ACH, and charge expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
Support Accounts Receivable by monitoring open receivables, reconciling open account statements, and investigating issues with sales and customers to help facilitate payment.
Support the credit management process and month-end closing activities.
Maintain Accounting Department documentation and physical and digital records.
Participate in special projects and other assigned functions.
Cross-train to serve as a backup for other members of the Accounting Team.
