About The Position

The Staff Accountant will join the finance team of a healthcare organization in Russellville, Alabama. This role offers exposure to hospital and multi-entity financial operations, collaboration with leadership including the CFO, and hands-on involvement in financial reporting, audits, and strategic initiatives. The position supports accounting and financial operations across clinics and home health entities in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of reconciliations and month-end processes.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage confidential financial data with discretion.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare or hospital accounting experience.
• Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries and maintain the General Ledger.
• Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end close.
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews.
• Compile and analyze financial and statistical data.
• Support financial operations across clinics and home health entities.
• Partner with internal teams to support business and finance initiatives.
• Assist with audits, cost reports, and compliance processes.
• Work closely with leadership on special projects and financial analysis.
