About The Position
We're partnering with a growing Omaha company that's looking to add a Staff Accountant to its Accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of accounting experience who wants to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting while working alongside an experienced team that's invested in your development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 1-3 years of accounting experience in either public accounting or private industry
- Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A collaborative, curious mindset and a genuine desire to continue growing professionally
Responsibilities
- Playing a key role in the month-end close process through journal entries and account reconciliations
- Supporting the preparation of financial statements and management reporting
- Analyzing financial results and researching variances to help deliver accurate financial information to leadership
- Assisting with audit requests, internal controls, and other accounting projects as the business continues to grow
- Contributing ideas that help streamline processes and improve the efficiency of the accounting team
