About The Position
This position is responsible for various accounting functions, including treasury, accounts receivable, supplier maintenance, payroll integrations, and month-end close activities. The role also involves SEC reporting, regulatory reporting, and participation in budgeting and forecasting. The accountant will also cooperate with auditors and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP or comparable system.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
Responsibilities
- Manage and report on daily cash balances for US and Canadian bank accounts.
- Perform short- and long-term cash forecasting.
- Process ACH/Wire transfers and weekly check runs.
- Apply cash for Accounts Receivable.
- Maintain supplier/vendor information.
- Ensure corporate debt and interest payments are initiated in accordance with due dates.
- Handle payroll integrations and journal entries.
- Perform close requirements including journal entries, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and various reporting responsibilities.
- Prepare quarterly and annual SEC schedules.
- Handle Regulatory Reporting.
- Participate in the development of the annual budget, monthly forecast, and related analytics.
- Cooperate with internal and external auditors and respond timely to their requests.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
