About The Position

Bishop Lifting Products, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its Corporate Finance team. The role is suited to an accounting professional eager to take on greater responsibility and grow within the company. The Staff Accountant is expected to take ownership of assigned work, demonstrate attention to detail, and identify opportunities for improvement. With demonstrated performance, the person in this role may be positioned to advance to Senior Accountant and beyond.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience in public accounting or corporate accounting.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals.
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem solving.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Partner with finance and operations colleagues to ensure accounting records are complete.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Help strengthen internal controls and streamline accounting processes.
• Participate in audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as needed.
• Assist with special projects, systems implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
