Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1 or more years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, formulas, etc.).
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive self-starter with a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with other accounting software or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) or progress toward certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements or supporting audits is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing variances.
  • Manage accounts payable activities, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling vendor statements.
  • Maintain and manage the purchase order system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate coding and approval of invoices.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses as needed.
  • Support external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Contribute to process improvements and implementation of best practices within the accounting function.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned.
