About The Position

Staff Accountants support client relationships while providing basic audit, bookkeeping, and tax preparation services. The role offers exposure to multiple areas of public accounting, including audit, bookkeeping, and tax, with opportunities to find a professional focus. The position is fully onsite at one of the firm's offices, with hybrid or remote work available to candidates who have at least three years of similar experience at a CPA firm.

During tax season, the schedule can reach 50–60 hours per week to meet deadlines. For the remainder of the year, employees work 30–40 hours per week, with flexibility around the typical Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• At least two years of experience in public accounting or a CPA firm environment.
• Ability to work fully onsite at one of the firm's offices.
• Willingness to be cross-trained to support tax, audit, and bookkeeping work.

Nice To Haves

• At least three years of similar experience at a CPA firm to be eligible for hybrid or remote work.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-charge bookkeeping services to multiple clients using QuickBooks.
• Prepare payroll, tax, and business records and reports.
• Prepare corporate and individual tax returns.
• Analyze client financial records to identify potential accounting and auditing issues.
• Cross-train to support clients' tax, audit, and bookkeeping needs.
