Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2–4 years of accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting processes
Demonstrated experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
Comfortable with lookups, pivots, and reconciliation schedules
Already using AI tools in your workflow, or actively leaning in.
Comfortable working day-to-day with a senior advisor, taking direction, asking good questions, and owning your tasks end-to-end.
Treats reconciliation discrepancies as puzzles, not chores.
Clear, direct written and verbal communication with employees, vendors, and leadership.
Smart, hard-working, high integrity.

Hands-on QuickBooks experience
Familiarity with Ramp, TriNet, or similar AP/PEO tools

Responsibilities

Create and submit invoices to customers, maintain deferred-revenue and revenue-recognition workpapers, and prepare monthly revenue entries for review.
Coordinate with team members to gather receipts, expense backup, and approvals required to code and close expense transactions accurately.
Process payroll, fund 401(k), post journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications; prepare close schedules, workpapers, and variance analysis.
Maintain recurring reconciliations across cash, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, payroll-related accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
Support accounts payable, expense coding, and fixed-asset accounting across multiple entities.
Process payroll-related entries, reconcile carrier invoices, and partner with HR and our PEO partner.
Prepare documentation for tax returns and R&D tax credits, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with our external tax firm.
Apply an AI-first lens to recurring workflows. Identify opportunities to script, template, or automate steps and partner with leadership to implement them.
