About The Position

The Staff Accountant supports the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial data, assisting with month-end close, and supporting both corporate and franchise-related accounting activities.

Nice To Haves

Experience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intaact) preferred
Public accounting or multi-entity experience preferred
Experience in construction, real estate, or franchise environments is a plus

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and adjustments
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations
Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
Assist in preparing financial statements and internal reports
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards
Support audit processes by preparing schedules and documentation
Assist with franchise-related financial tracking, including royalty reporting (if applicable)
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data
