About The Position

The Staff Accountant will support the accounting and finance team through timely and accurate processing, reconciliation, and analysis of financial transactions across Talon and its related entities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is organized, responsive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, managing overhead-related accounting functions, and ensuring timely vendor and employee expense processing.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly reconciliations of all bank accounts and investigate any discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Prepare monthly accrual journal entries for unreceived overhead invoices and expenses
  • Set up and maintain prepaid expense schedules for subscriptions and other recurring prepayments
  • Review, analyze, process, and coordinate payment of employee expense reimbursements
  • Compare overhead expenses to forecasted and reforecasted budgets and identify variances
  • Ensure timely payment of all overhead-related vendor invoices and business transactions
  • Reconcile vendor statements to accounts payable ledger balances for overhead accounts
  • Respond accurately and promptly to internal and external inquiries regarding invoice and payment status
  • Assist with month-end close processes and related journal entries
  • Maintain organized and accurate accounting documentation and records
  • Collaborate with team members across Talon and affiliated entities on accounting and finance-related requests
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Benefits

  • Dependent upon experience, the salary for this role can range from $60,000-$65,000
