About The Position

SAFCO is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across core accounting functions while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. As a Staff Accountant, you will support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with financial reporting, and contribute to process improvements that drive business performance.

This position is located in-office at our Pompano Beach, Florida headquarters.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.
• 0 to 3 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable processing, including approvals and processing.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance and month-end closing processes.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank and cash disbursement accounts.
• Assist with audits and preparation of tax-related documentation.
• Contribute to accounting system improvements and process automation initiatives.
• Support general cost accounting and other related financial duties as assigned.
