About The Position

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting and finance assignments, partnering with the Corporate Controller and management teams to successfully meet financial objectives. The candidate must adhere to our guiding principles of integrity, commitment, and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Heavy Accounts Payable with a 3-way match
• Accounts Receivable to include collections
• Audit General Ledger
• Assist with month-end closing responsibilities including reporting and analyzing variances to budget and forecast for the Controller and management team
• Account analysis and reconciliation
• Assist with the preparation of plant reports on production and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Assist with inventory control and reconciliation, including reviewing or auditing the adherence to cycle count procedures and assisting with the annual physical inventory
• Fixed asset control and reconciliation, including assistance with fixed asset physical inventory, counts every three years
• Assist with the preparation of economic cost studies for projects concerning new or existing products, manufacturing processes, equipment, or facilities
• Assist with developing the annual plant budget including creating standards, and updating the standards and period expense budgets in Mas90
• Assist with plant internal financial and operational audits and address any audit findings with the plant controller; participate with compliance certifications and reconciliations as required
• Support the plant in generating and quantifying cost savings opportunities, and support the plant management team with the implementation of cost reduction initiatives
• Respond quickly and accurately to customer requests, including special projects, and other duties or analyses as requested by the plant controller or management team
• Serve as backup for others on the plant finance and accounting team
• Perform all other duties as assigned
