About The Position
The Plaza is hiring a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily financial operations, including AP/AR, payroll, monthly reconciliations, General Excise Tax (GET) reporting, and month-end close.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office.
- Must meet company health and physical requirements (including communicable disease clearance).
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s in accounting.
- 3+ years in accounting; 1+ year in high-volume AP/AR.
- Experience with Sage Intacct, PointClickCare, and Enquire.
- Advanced Excel skills.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly invoices, vendor payments, resident billings, cash receipts, and trust account transfers.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Post recurring journal entries, perform GL and bank/credit card reconciliations, and help prepare monthly financial packets.
- Review payroll, balance benefit reports, issue manual checks, and prepare monthly General Excise Tax (GET) filings.
- Oversee credit card expense reporting, support community office managers with billing queries, and assist with basic office administration.
