About The Position

As the Staff Accountant, you are a vital part of the Finance team, ensuring financial accuracy and accountability across the organization. You serve as a key contributor in maintaining the integrity of our general ledger and financial records, directly supporting our ability to meet internal and external reporting requirements. Your attention to detail and proactive analysis not only supports operational excellence but also helps drive informed decision-making in our fast-paced hospitality and gaming environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience; hospitality or gaming industry experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Workday is strongly preferred
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or related field required
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States
  • Work Cards Nevada Gaming Registration

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and promptly resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including adjustments to correct variances and ensure proper account classification
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including generating and reviewing account schedules for balance sheet reconciliations and amortizations
  • Collaborate with external auditors by providing requested documentation, explanations, and support for financial audits
  • Receive and record checks and other forms of payment, ensuring accurate documentation and timely deposits in accordance with company policy
  • Complete monthly reconciliations of all asset and liability accounts, maintaining proper documentation and audit trail
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
  • Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
