  • 1–3 years of experience in corporate accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), project accounting, or fixed asset management.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP, fixed asset accounting rules, capital-versus-expense rules, and advanced general ledger structures.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including XLOOKUP, Index/Match, nested formulas, dynamic pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present data clearly to internal department leads and constructively challenge over-budget expenditures or project overruns.

Nice To Haves

  • NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with multi-entity corporate accounting and intercompany capital allocations or eliminations.
  • Prior experience in telecom, fiber utilities, construction, or CAPEX-heavy infrastructure industries.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the fixed asset lifecycle, including multi-entity allocation and depreciation.
  • Prepare monthly budget-to-actual variance analyses for department heads.
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison for high-value vendors and construction partners; reconcile invoices, manage milestone payment structures, and monitor contract compliance.
  • Analyze corporate expenditures and historical contractor and vendor pricing trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Review transaction workflows for accurate GL account, class, and project/task coding; correct coding exceptions in NetSuite before transactions reach the general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly capital accruals, amortization schedules, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations to support timely month-end close.
  • Assist with accounts receivable aging research, revenue reconciliation, billing analysis, and cash flow tracking.
  • Provide department leaders and project managers with clear variance reporting and visibility into budget utilization.
  • Help ensure fiber deployment builds are accurately tracked and work-in-progress balances are cleared and capitalized on time.
