About The Position

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join a collaborative finance team supporting capital and lease accounting activities within a dynamic corporate environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with project accounting, month-end close processes, financial reporting, SAP, and advanced Excel reporting while partnering with multiple business units on high-profile projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting
  • Account reconciliations
  • Journal entries
  • Month-end close activities
  • Financial reporting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support capital and lease accounting activities, including month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and project spend analyses.
  • Track capital project spending and maintain actual versus budget reports.
  • Create and maintain internal orders within SAP and SharePoint.
  • Review, code, and approve invoices related to capital and strategic projects.
  • Monitor project budgets and prepare spend reports for leadership review.
  • Process fixed asset additions, disposals, transfers, and lease-related accounting transactions.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, finance teams, and business stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
  • Participate in quarterly project reviews and support project closeout activities.
  • Maintain process documentation and support internal control initiatives.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and special projects.
