About The Position

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our team on a temporary basis to provide maternity‑leave coverage. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month‑end close process, and managing corporate credit card activity. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, Excel‑savvy, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
  • Broad accounting knowledge with hands‑on general ledger experience
  • Proven ability to manage a high‑volume workload in a fast‑paced setting
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience with journal entries, month‑end close, accounts receivable, cash application, and bank reconciliations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience administering corporate credit card platforms, including limits and controls
  • Exposure to house accounts or multi‑location transaction processing
  • Experience supporting ad‑hoc financial analysis for internal stakeholders
  • Background in shared services or multi‑entity environments
  • Comfort documenting, improving, or standardizing accounting processes and controls

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post general ledger entries on a weekly and monthly basis, including accounts receivable, cash activity, and corporate credit card transactions
  • Reconcile and post AMEX statement activity with accurate general ledger coding
  • Support the month‑end close process and ensure all reporting deadlines are met
  • Process daily house account transactions across multiple locations
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for assigned accounts
  • Administer the corporate credit card platform, including adding/removing cards and adjusting limits with approval
  • Assist with ad‑hoc reporting and financial analyses as requested by the business
