About The Position

Life-Science Innovations is hiring a full-time Staff Accountant to support its accounting function and prepare accurate financial reports. The role includes recording financial transactions, preparing journal entries, maintaining fixed asset records, assisting with month-end close activities, and performing general accounting and administrative duties. The position works onsite at two nearby locations: Life-Science Innovations and Farm Service Elevator. The company is headquartered in Willmar, Minnesota, on the MinnWest Technology Campus.

Requirements

Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting.
1–2 years of accounting experience.
Knowledge of GAAP, accounting systems, business processes, and applicable accounting and tax regulations.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication, active listening, and customer service skills.
Ability to coordinate tasks, monitor activities, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries accurately and on time.
Analyze financial trends, business operations, revenues, expenses, and costs to support forecasting and decision-making.
Record and reconcile transactional activities.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions comply with GAAP and company policies.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances.
Support preparation of internal financial reports and schedules.
Perform general accounting and administrative duties as needed.
Maintain fixed asset records and support month-end close activities.
