About The Position

Ballston Spa National Bank (BSNB) is seeking a Staff Accountant to support marketing initiatives aimed at driving the bank's short and long-term strategic growth goals across various product lines. This role is within a growing, nationally recognized community bank that has been named one of the Best Places to Work. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for accurate cash balancing, processing daily unposted items, investment accounting, quarterly financial reporting, and managing various bank accounting systems. Additionally, the position involves maintaining correspondent bank balances, performing reconciliations, and serving as a back-up for accounts payable. Established in 1838, BSNB provides financial solutions to businesses, individuals, and families in the greater Capital Region and beyond through thirteen full-service banking offices and digital banking services. Requirements

One to three years prior accounting experience
Experience with financial reconciliations
Demonstrated aptitude for working with numbers/figures with accuracy and strong attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a group or independently
