About The Position

Lindy Communities, a fourth-generation, family-owned property management company with a portfolio of residential communities in the Greater Philadelphia area, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Staff Accountant to join their Corporate office team. The company's mission is to deliver the best apartment living experience by building a team of passionate individuals dedicated to creating exceptional living environments. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, with a proven track record of measurable results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 2 years prior experience working with bank reconciliations, local, state, and federal tax filings
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while working on numerous projects simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Yardi Software

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accrual or cashed-based journal entries as needed
  • Review financial statements and explain large variances
  • Review with site staff and accounts payable for coding reclassification
  • Review accounts receivable and resident ledgers
  • Complete bank reconciliations
  • Complete quarterly management report packages for lenders
  • Process and reconcile mortgage statements
  • Process and record real estate taxes, school taxes, and building insurance bills
