About The Position

The Staff Accountant is responsible for financial and operational accounting for multiple apartment home communities, including preparing financial statements and analyzing accounts. The role is full-time and on-site in Irvine, California, and reports directly to the Controller. Candidates must live within commuting distance or be willing to relocate. Compensation is $73,000 to $78,000 annually, based on experience. Duties may change at the discretion of regional and organizational leadership.

Requirements

Completed bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
1–2 years of accounting experience.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Proficient user of Excel.

Responsibilities

Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for a large multifamily portfolio.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain financial records in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
Meet financial reporting deadlines.
Ensure revenues and expenses are recorded accurately and appropriately.
Assist with year-end audits.
Assist with additional projects as needed.
