About The Position

As the Staff Accountant for Purely Elizabeth, you will bring precision and reliability to the company's day-to-day financial operations, helping the company keep pace with its continued growth. Purely Elizabeth Based in Boulder, CO, Purely Elizabeth is a high-growth natural foods company focused on creating products using elevated, nutrient-rich ingredients. Their award-winning products include granola, oatmeal, and cereal. Founded in 2009 by Elizabeth Stein, a certified holistic nutrition counselor, the company is dedicated to helping consumers thrive on their wellness journey. Purely Elizabeth is seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to support the Finance team by delivering timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions. This role is central to the company's financial operations, covering everything from vendor payments to month-end close. You'll be a key point of contact across departments, ensuring accuracy and consistency in the numbers that drive business decisions.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or related field, preferably in the natural food industry.
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Detail oriented and experienced in follow-through and completion of projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle processing and recording of Accounts Payable from receipt of invoice to payment via physical check/ACH.
  • Communication between vendors, other departments, and the finance team regarding upcoming and outstanding vendor invoices.
  • Monitoring and recording cash movement between various accounts.
  • Invoicing customers daily to ensure accuracy of sales data.
  • Fulfill month-end close duties, such as reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts and processing monthly expense reports.
  • Other general accounting, financial or administrative functions as needed.
