About The Position

Jonathan White CPA, PLLC is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant with 1-3 years of recent full cycle public accounting experience and a strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online for a full-time position. As a Full Charge Accountant, you will be responsible for multiple clients (25 - 30 monthly). The ideal applicant must be able to receive raw data and prepare year-end closeout, possess a strong work ethic, excellent client communication skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This is a hybrid position, with initial on-site training in Matthews, North Carolina, transitioning to hybrid after one year.

Requirements

• 1+ yrs of full charge accounting experience in public accounting with a strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with clients and coworkers
• Experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation
• Organizational skills, attention to detail and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Comfortable working on multiple open projects and clients at one time
• Intimate knowledge of Intuit platforms and fluent in Microsoft suite, proficient with QuickBooks (Online)
• Energized professional with a client first mentality
• Positive, team-oriented mindset
• Accounting: 1 year (Required)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but candidates with strong equivalent experience will be considered
• Knowledge/experience with preparing quarterly tax estimates is a plus
• experience with Practice CS is a plus

Responsibilities

• W2s & 1099 reporting
• Enter and classify client data
• Handle routine client questions
• Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations
• Utilize QuickBooks with ability to train clients
• Fixed Asset Tracking
• Prepare financial statements for CPA review
• Prepare journal entries for month and year-end close
• Prepare Payroll, Sales & Use Tax Returns, Property Tax Returns
• Assisting with ad-hoc projects & Tax Return preparations as needed
