Join the #HarmlessMovement About the Role: As our new Staff Accountant, you will be joining our dynamic accounting team in a fast-paced environment at our Oakland-based HQ. In this role, you will own all aspects of revenue reporting including billing, invoicing and customer maintenance. This is a highly visible role that will support multiple functions within our growing organization. You will report directly to the VP Controller, but work daily with all members of the accounting team to support the growing needs of the department.

Requirements

Accounting or Finance bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of relevant experience in an accounting role
Proficient Excel skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and oral analytical and communication skills
Highly organized, flexible to daily work priorities, and eager to learn
Next-level organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

Ensuring prompt and accurate invoicing and billing of customer accounts
Managing customer billing issues and questions
Maintaining and updating customer master data
Supporting audit requests
Assisting with general accounting and finance related projects as needed
Seek out and communicate opportunities to continuously improve, standardize and streamline the company’s invoicing and billing process
Work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization
