About The Position

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for processing accounting data meticulously, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures and standards (SNC/US GAAP). This role involves recording financial transactions, reconciling financial statements, preparing data analysis, generating financial statements, and preparing and filing tax returns.

Requirements

• Degree in Management / Economics / Accounting / Finance or similar
• At least 4 years of experience as an accountant in companies (SNC / US GAAP)
• Advanced level of English and French
• Excel proficiency and knowledge of Netsuite
• Excellent analytical skills, with high attention to detail
• Excellent (practical) problem-solving skills
• Ability to anticipate and deal with interruptions in the regular workflow
• Critical thinking, emotional management, goal-oriented and deadline-oriented

Responsibilities

• Process accounting data meticulously, ensuring accounting records are accurate and in compliance with established procedures and maintaining integrity with SNC and US GAAP.
• Record all financial transactions quickly and systematically to maintain compliance with audit processes.
• Reconcile financial statements: Regularly compare financial records, identify discrepancies, and ensure that closing balances are accurate.
• Prepare data analysis: Organize and categorize financial data to facilitate meaningful analysis and decision-making.
• Prepare financial statements: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with SNC and US GAAP.
• Prepare and file tax returns: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations, as well as stay up to date on changes to tax laws and implement any necessary changes to ensure compliance.
