About The Position

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of MicroStar’s financial reporting. This position will support general ledger accounting functions, including month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, sales tax compliance, financial analysis, and audit.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
1 – 3 years of work experience in accounting
Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
Experience with modern ERPs (NetSuite specific experience is a plus)
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, research variances, and take action on necessary reconciling adjustments in a timely manner
Prepare prepaid schedules and book monthly amortization entries
Review key expense accounts and related accruals
Maintain daily cash tracking and partner with AR/AP teams to ensure all transactions are posted
Calculate and file monthly sales and use taxes in appropriate jurisdictions
Support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as needed
Actively participate in annual financial audits, preparing support and responding to auditor inquiries
Other related duties and ad hoc projects as assigned
