About The Position

Redbarn® Pet Products is seeking two Temporary Staff Accountants to join their Finance team. One role will focus on General Accounting, supporting day-to-day activities such as journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, variance analysis, intercompany reconciliations, GL and subledger maintenance, and assisting with audit, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement. The second role will focus on Accounts Receivable, supporting daily AR activities including cash application, account reconciliations, customer account and aging analysis, researching and resolving billing/payment discrepancies, collection support, AR reporting, month-end close, and maintaining accurate customer records.

Requirements

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
1–3 years of accounting experience: General Accounting & Accounts Receivable
Strong Excel skills
Experience with SAP accounting/ERP systems preferred.
Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
On-site position — remote work is not available.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day general accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and reconciliations.
Perform month-end close and financial reporting.
Conduct variance analysis and intercompany reconciliations.
Maintain GL and subledger.
Provide support for audit, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement.
Support daily AR activities, including cash application and account reconciliations.
Perform customer account and aging analysis.
Research and resolve billing/payment discrepancies.
Provide collection support and AR reporting.
Assist with month-end close and maintaining accurate customer records.
