About The Position

Long Term Healthcare is seeking an accounting professional to join its growing long-term healthcare organization with a strong regional footprint. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
Knowledge of accrual accounting and GAAP.
Proficiency with applicable technology, specifically Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.
Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a timely and accurate manner.
Organized, self-starting, and detail-oriented.
Strong communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

Nice To Haves

CPA or currently sitting for the CPA exam.
Prior experience in public accounting or a large corporate environment.
Experience with fixed assets, capital expenditures budgeting and tracking, and construction-in-progress accounting.

Responsibilities

Assist the Accounting Director with monthly preparation of financial statements.
Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
Provide accounting support related to month-end close.
Review and analyze expenditures for variances and proper general ledger classifications.
Perform other assigned accounting projects and functions.
