About The Position

The Staff Accountant is responsible for daily accounting and financial management functions at All Care Health Center, whose mission is to provide affordable, comprehensive, high-quality health care to the community and strengthen access to integrated care. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay varies based on experience and ranges from $29 to $31 per hour.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with a specialization in Accounting.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including formulas, functions, lookup tables, and other standard spreadsheet elements.
Maintain current knowledge of accounts payable standards and practices.
Understand HIPAA guidelines to protect patient and employee rights and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Complete recurring monthly journal entries accurately.
Allocate and enter the annual budget into the general ledger system.
Reconcile grant budget spending monthly.
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations, including credit card activity.
Submit uncashed checks to unclaimed property.
Complete accurate daily deposit entries.
Complete accurate bi-weekly payroll entries.
Process 401(k) payments within three days of the pay date.
Assist with general accounting, financial, and statistical reporting.
Assist with month-end close reporting.
Assist with preparation of annual tax and cost reports.
Assist in providing required information to independent and governmental auditors.
Submit quarterly Medicaid wrap reports in a timely manner.
File annual 1099s by January 31.
Assist with accounts payable tasks and review accounts payable coding entries.
Properly code fixed asset purchases and grant expenditures.
Serve as backup for accounts payable entries.
Perform other duties as assigned.
