About The Position

Our client is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant who is looking to grow their career and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with foundational accounting experience who wants exposure to a wide range of responsibilities, including month-end close, payroll, and project support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (mid-size company experience preferred)
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience with payroll processing
  • Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables)
  • Exposure to an ERP system preferred

  • Manufacturing accounting experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly close process, including: Preparing journal entries, Performing account reconciliations and resolving variances
  • Assist with inventory and work-in-process (WIP) tracking and reconciliations
  • Process payroll and handle related reporting
  • Partner with project managers to support project setup and basic financial tracking
  • Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting activities
  • Participate in process improvements and system enhancements
  • Provide support on ad hoc projects as needed
  • Gain exposure to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
