About The Position

Our client is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant who is looking to grow their career and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with foundational accounting experience who wants exposure to a wide range of responsibilities, including month-end close, payroll, and project support.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
1–3 years of accounting experience (mid-size company experience preferred)
Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Experience with payroll processing
Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables)
Exposure to an ERP system preferred

Manufacturing accounting experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Support the monthly close process, including: Preparing journal entries, Performing account reconciliations and resolving variances
Assist with inventory and work-in-process (WIP) tracking and reconciliations
Process payroll and handle related reporting
Partner with project managers to support project setup and basic financial tracking
Assist with audit preparation and financial reporting activities
Participate in process improvements and system enhancements
Provide support on ad hoc projects as needed
Gain exposure to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
