We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy of our financial operations through account reconciliation, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close support. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a professional office setting
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating office equipment (copier, fax, 10-key calculator)
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting
- High level of organization and problem-solving capabilities
Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries including revenues, depreciation, and adjusting entries
- Perform monthly closing activities and reconcile all balance sheet accounts
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and necessary subsidiary ledgers
- Review general ledger activity for accuracy
- Record deposits and code/enter invoices
- Assist with budgeting, including designing reports and supporting the CFO
- Conduct operational studies and recommend process improvements
- Support additional accounting duties as assigned
