About The Position

Staff Accountants support client relationships and provide basic audit, bookkeeping, and tax preparation services. The role offers exposure to multiple areas of public accounting, including audit, bookkeeping, and tax, with the opportunity to develop a focus. Staff Accountants work with multiple clients and may be cross-trained to meet their tax, audit, and bookkeeping needs.

The position is based fully onsite at one of the firm's offices. For candidates with at least three years of experience in a similar role at a CPA firm, hybrid and remote work may be available. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with flexibility around personal or family commitments. During tax season, the role may involve weeks of up to 50–60 hours; during the rest of the year, weeks are typically 30–40 hours.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• At least 2 years of experience in public accounting or a CPA firm environment.
• Ability to work fully onsite at one of the firm's offices.
• Willingness to be cross-trained to support tax, audit, and bookkeeping needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-charge bookkeeping services to multiple clients using QuickBooks.
• Prepare payroll, tax, and business records and reports.
• Prepare corporate and individual tax returns.
• Assist with analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting and auditing issues.
• Support client relationships.
• Be cross-trained to support clients’ tax, audit, and bookkeeping needs.
