About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and supporting month-end close activities for multiple healthcare entities. The ideal candidate will have solid general accounting experience, strong organizational skills, and hands-on experience with Sage50 accounting software.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is highly required.
3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, professional services, or a multi-entity environment.
Hands-on experience using Sage?50 (Peachtree) accounting software strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is required.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform daily accounting activities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account analysis.
Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts in Sage?50.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare financial statements and internal reports for management.
Manage accounts receivable (AR) functions.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Assist with audits and promptly respond to auditor requests.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and healthcare-related financial requirements.
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners as needed to resolve issues and streamline processes.
