About The Position

Lindy Communities is a fourth-generation, family-owned property management company seeking a highly qualified, motivated Staff Accountant to work in their Corporate office. The company focuses on delivering the best apartment living experience through a team of passionate individuals dedicated to creating exceptional living environments. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and be prepared to demonstrate proven and measurable results.

Requirements

• 2 years prior experience working with bank reconciliations, local, state, and federal tax filings.
• Strong communication skills, oral and written.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to prioritize tasks while working on numerous projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Yardi Software

Responsibilities

• Prepare accrual or cashed-based journal entries as needed
• Review financial statements and explain large variances
• Review with site staff and accounts payable for coding reclassification
• Review accounts receivable and resident ledgers
• Complete bank reconciliations
• Complete quarterly management report packages for lenders
• Process and reconcile mortgage statements
• Process and record real estate taxes, school taxes, and building insurance bills
