About The Position

We are seeking a Staff Accountant with 1–4 years of experience to support monthly close, reconciliations, and audit activities within a regulated financial services environment on a contract basis. This is a 5 day onsite role in the Financial District in NYC and will have a duration of 3 months.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields preferred
Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar)
Familiarity with regulatory reporting concepts (e.g., FOCUS, net capital, reserve calculations) a plus
Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
Support investigation and resolution of reconciliation discrepancies between sub-ledgers and the general ledger
Help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across entities
Assist in preparing documentation and responding to audit requests (PBC support)
