About The Position

ASI is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support daily financial operations across multiple companies. This role is responsible for cash management, accounts payable/receivable processes, fixed asset reporting, and monthly financial close activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and comfortable managing a wide range of accounting functions with accuracy and efficiency. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this individual will serve as a key contributor to the accounting team to maintain financial integrity, support close processes, and deliver timely, accurate reporting across multiple entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals and account reconciliations.
  • Experience with payroll processing and general ledger systems.
  • Experience working with third-party payroll providers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor cash balances, initiate transfers, and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Manage biweekly payroll, including reconciliations and 401(k) contributions.
  • Support benefits administration, PTO tracking, and insurance payments.
  • Maintain fixed assets, including additions and depreciation.
  • Assist with AR/AP functions, including billing, invoicing, and vendor payments.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, analyses, and support month-end close.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain vendor records and support audit requests.
  • Perform general bookkeeping and identify process improvements.
