About The Position

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to become a vital part of our Accounting Department. This role involves maintaining financial integrity, supporting month-end closures, and ensuring efficient operations. The Staff Accountant will manage general ledger entries, navigate two different companies and two distinct ERP systems, and contribute to costing and inventory functions, fixed assets, and continuous improvement of accounting systems and procedures. The role also requires cross-functional collaboration to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with internal control policies and GAAP requirements.

Requirements

• An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of experience in general accounting.
• 1-2 years specifically in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables and V-Lookups).
• Highly organized.
• Able to manage multiple priorities.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Professional communicator who excels at interacting with coworkers, customers, and business partners.

Nice To Haves

• A background in Manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with Fixed Assets or Costing/Inventory functions is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting, and recording accounting data.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance by preparing and posting journal entries.
• Support month-end closing and account reconciliations.
• Serve as a backup for the Accounting Manager and other key accounting functions.
• Be involved in costing and inventory functions.
• Manage fixed assets.
• Support the continuous improvement of accounting systems and procedures.
• Work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Sales, and Operations to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve workflows.
• Help maintain strict compliance with internal control policies and GAAP requirements.
