Staff Accountant - Supply Chain Accounting

About The Position

As a key member of the Supply Chain Accounting team in Accounting Operations, you will work in a fast-paced environment to record and analyze transactions related to inventory; leased assets and related intercompany transactions, as well as work to simplify accounting processes. This is a hybrid, site-based role that offers the perfect blend of office collaboration and remote flexibility. Employees will work from our Carlsbad office at least 3 days (60%) per week within a standard five-day workweek, with the remaining days worked remotely.

Requirements

Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting/Finance, with progress towards a professional accounting designation
3+ years of experience in an accounting role
Basic understanding of General Accounting Principles
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level of knowledge)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal is required
Strong organizational skills
US Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAP and Blackline would be an asset
CPA Certified

Responsibilities

Preparation of journal entries related to inventory; leased assets and related intercompany transactions and eliminations, as part of the month end close process
Monthly account analysis and review of related source documents
Working closely with business to investigate and resolve issues related to inventory and leased assets
Running transaction processes and reports in accounting system, as part of month end close process; including order settlements; preparation of other monthly reporting
Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and other supporting working papers
Provisions of assistance in completion of year-end audit, statutory account audits, tax filings and other ad hoc requests
Participation in special projects regarding inventory and leased assets, including process improvement
