About The Position

The Revenue team within the Corporate Accounting group is responsible for revenue recognition and reporting across all business segments, maintenance of all revenue and billing systems, client billing and Accounts Receivable management, and internal control compliance for all revenue processes. The Staff Accountant will be working with various accounting and billing systems to support the monthly invoicing and close process across various SEI business units. The staff accountant will be responsible for reviewing contracts, system maintenance, journal entries, billing, account reconciliations, and revenue analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience (accounting or finance / business)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
  • Experience with Revenue Billing systems (we utilize Fiserv’s Advantage Fee and Broadridge’s Revport systems)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Strong technical skills and experience working with various accounting systems
  • Ability to think and work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow-through with goals and objectives
  • Ability to develop and manage successful internal and external relationships

Responsibilities

  • Work with the monthly and quarterly invoicing processes
  • Review and track client contract changes.
  • Follow up with various internal teams to make sure invoices are approved
  • Cash applications as necessary
  • Follow up on aged receivables
  • Handle various monthly close responsibilities
  • Record monthly journal entries and provide revenue analysis
  • Reconciliations of related revenue and balance sheet accounts at month end
  • Maintain and update procedures and SOX narratives for assigned business processes
  • Work with auditors throughout the year on various requests
