About The Position

This is a full-time Staff Accountant position focused on Revenue & Cost Analysis. The role involves a variety of accounting duties including investigating inquiries, creating reports, reviewing contracts, managing accounts receivable, reconciling ledgers, and assisting with month-end and year-end closings. The position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work with high volumes of data. Requirements

BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field
Proven work experience as a junior accountant
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Strong Excel skills
Ability to quickly learn and understand multiple software systems
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work a high volume of data from multiple sources

Responsibilities

Investigate credit card inquiries/chargebacks
Create weekly and monthly revenue reports for department leaders
Review vendor contracts
Calculate employee gratuities
Track employee rent
Audit group sales event folders and cash bar entries
Process Food & Beverage credits for internal events and invoicing to member accounts
Manage accounts receivable and prepare and mail invoices for direct billing
Maintain direct billing accounts and follow up for collection
Take payments to settle accounts receivable accounts
General Ledger Account reconciliation in RDP and the Five Star guest ledger
Maintain petty cash and filing
Gift certificate reconciliation
Assist senior accounting manager in the preparation of monthly and yearly closings
Assist in month end physical count of inventory and supply orders
Ad Hoc Account Analysis and review for accuracy and efficiencies
Ad Hoc Reporting
Perform other duties and functions as assigned based on business levels throughout the resort and organizational changes as directed by the Owner, the VP of Operations & General Manager and the Senior Accounting Manager.
