Supports controlling functions and assists with preparation of monthly reports, schedules, and transactions. Assists with the monthly closing process including reconciliation of general ledger accounts, preparation of standard and manual journal entries and preparation of monthly closing package. Compiles composite reports (monthly cash flow projections, budget to actual comparisons, etc.) that are required by management or government agencies. Prepares various governmental and non-governmental surveys and statutory reports as required. Updates and maintains accounting related procedures and documentation as required. Performs general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, accruals and prepaid expenses. Assists in compiling information for the year-end audit. Provides information to managers and employees as requested and regarding account descriptions and balances. Special projects as assigned.
