About The Position

Ping Identity is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Staff Accountant II to join Ping's collaborative finance team. This role is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in general ledger accounting within a supportive and team-oriented environment. This position will report to the Accounting Supervisor and play an active role in the general ledger and month-end close processes, with ownership over key accounting areas. The role offers broad exposure across the finance organization and an opportunity to expand your accounting knowledge while growing within a high-performing team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field)
2+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Foundational knowledge of US GAAP
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to take ownership of assigned areas and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice To Haves

Experience with a general ledger system (NetSuite experience is a plus)
Experience supporting month-end close processes
Exposure to accrual accounting and balance sheet reconciliations

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations to support an accurate and timely close
Support key accounting areas
Ensure completeness and accuracy of accruals through collaboration with cross-functional partners
Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the month-end close process, including identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen controls
Support the preparation and maintenance of documentation for internal controls and external audit requests
Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses as the business continues to scale
