About The Position

The Staff Accountant, Capital Projects is a core member of the Accounting team, responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the Company's capital expenditure reporting across a dynamic portfolio of hotels. This role owns the full CAPEX lifecycle — from contract and invoice analysis through asset capitalization, depreciation forecasting, and fixed asset reconciliation — and is expected to exercise sound accounting judgment at every stage. The Staff Accountant operates with a high degree of independence, applying GAAP and the Company's capitalization policy to evaluate and input invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure that capital activity is reflected accurately and on time. This position serves as a key partner to Accounts Payable, Design and Construction, Asset Management, Hotel and Corporate Accounting, and works directly with the accounting staff at the individual hotels – requiring the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across a complex, multi-entity environment. This is a full-time position with in-person requirements Monday through Thursday and optional remote work available on Friday.
